Dr. Koudinova is working on the subject comprising the journal scope for the last ten years. She shares with Alexei Koudinov elucidation i) of the role for cholesterol and phospholipids in synaptic plasticity and neuronal degeneration, ii) Alzheimer's soluble amyloid beta protein association with high density lipoproteins in the body fluids, and iii) the role for amyloid in cholesterol and phospholipid dynamics.

As her second interest Dr.Koudinova is investigating the photodynamic therapy of malignant tumors and the associated role of oxidative stress and tissue lipid peroxidation.
