ILYA REZNIK, MD

Dr. Ilya Reznik is a graduate of the Russian State Medical Institute, Moscow, Russia (M.D., 1989). After graduation he became a clinical resident at the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology, Russian State Medical Institute. After immigration to Israel in 1990 Dr.Reznik joined clinical internship in General Medicine and Psychiatry at Western Galilee Government Medical Center, and was licensed as G.P. in 1992. In 1993 Dr.Reznik enrolled in clinical residency program at the Department of Psychiatry, Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center, Jerusalem. This training was succesfully completed in 1999 at Abarbanel Mental Health Center. After successful passing of the board exams Dr.Reznik was certified as Specialist in Psychiatry. Since April 1999 Ilya Reznik is working as a Senior Research Fellow of Research Unit and Senior Psychiatrist of Day Care Department of Ness-Ziona Mental Health Center.

Recently, Dr.Reznik was appointed as an Acting Director of the Clinical Research Unit and of the Day Care/Partial Hospitalization Department, Ness-Ziona Mental Health Center. Dr. Reznik also serves as lecturer at the Department of Psychiatry, Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel-Aviv University.

Dr. Reznik is involved in several research projects. His research interest covers neuropsychopharmacology of anxiety and psychotic disorders, and includes role of lipids and ApoE in psychiatric disorders pathogenesis.
